Project Description

The 63,000 SF MLK Jr. Recreation and Aquatic Center fills the void created when the original building closed in 2012. This state-of-the-art center features Atlanta’s first zero-entry indoor pool with a family leisure zone and four 25-yard lap lanes. The facility also includes a fitness and weight room, climbing wall, multi-use event area, outdoor terrace, recreation classrooms, senior center, multi-purpose gymnasium, indoor track, lounge and workroom area, computer lab, locker rooms, and staff offices. The center utilizes the latest innovations in CCTV surveillance and security systems as well as a web-based Building Automation System allowing managers access to HVAC controls.
