The project is a new addition to the Augusta University J209 Cancer Research Building, located in Augusta, Georgia, with an area of approximately 67,000 square foot. The building consists of a five story office and lab addition and a separate two story connector structure with open and closed office spaces.
Energy model: Energy Plus ( w/ GA Peach consulting); Energy cost savings: 25.4% better than the ASHRAE 90.1-2004 Baseline case on an energy cost basis, which corresponds to 25 points toward the Georgia Peach green building rating system.
ECM: Wall insulation, high efficiency glazing, enthalpy economizer, exhaust air energy recovery, variable speed drives, efficient lighting system.
