The Interface FLOR Kyle 2 Project is an existing manufacturing building that has been renovated into a new office, manufacturing, and warehouse space. As a leader in sustainability, Interface FLOR has made a major commitment to both the environment and their employees by seeking certification for both LEED BD+C v4: Warehouses and Distribution Centers and WELL v1.0.
The Project consists of the renovation and additions to an existing manufacturing facility for Interface Flor in LaGrange, Georgia. It will include approximately 160,000sf of warehouse and manufacturing space, within which includes 15,000 sf of office space. The project will include VRF systems, energy recovery systems, renewable energy systems in the form of solar panels up to 1mWh to cover the energy demand for the conditioned air and lighting systems. All systems for the Project will be connected to a building management system. The Project also includes rainwater and grey water recovery systems that service the landscaping and flush fixtures on site and adjacent sites. The Project will pursue LEED Silver certification (possibly gold) under the LEED v4 for BD+C: Warehouses and Distribution Centers Rating System. The Project is also interested in pursuing WELL Silver Certification (possibly gold) under the WELL Building Standard for New Buildings.
Epsten Group is providing LEED Consulting and Commissioning services for the Project in support of its pursuit of a minimum of Certified certification under the LEED v4 for BD+C: Warehouses and Distribution Centers Rating System. We’re also providing WELL Consulting services for the Project in support of its pursuit of a minimum of Silver certification under the WELL Building Standard.
