Manage staff by providing direction, training and mentoring; Provide expert guidance to the review of projects; Work with other Team Leads to ensure technically rigorous, accurate, consistent and timely completion of LEED certification reviews; Perform quality control (QC) review of work done by other LEED Certification Reviewers and external review teams; Educate the LEED marketplace through comments and technical advice to project teams; Develop enhancements and improvements to LEED and the certification review process based on personal knowledge and vision, or user feedback; Contribute to the continuing development and increasing technical knowledge-base of LEED Certification Reviewers through shared research, documentation, and teamwork; Develop, review, and refine LEED programs, policies and plans, as well as specific LEED credit language and reference materials; Maintain currency of expertise by staying abreast of new and developing industry issues and trends; Provide technical support as needed to the LEED Customer Service team; Develop budgets, track metrics and assist with strategic planning process; Perform administrative tasks related to staff management as necessary (e.g., timesheet and expense report approval, annual performance assessments, etc.) ; Review project documentation for prerequisites and credits for compliance with LEED requirements; Provide enhanced review within designated specialty.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Building Operations, Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering, Planning or a related field and 2 years of direct professional experience in the area of LEED specialty. 2 years of experience in MS Office suite. 2 years of experience in LEED Online. 1 year of experience in supervising staff or teams. 1 year of experience with budgets and budget process.2 years of experience with a variety of high-performing building projects, including LEED projects. 1 year of experience with reading, understanding and interpreting building floor plans, sections, site plans, zoning maps, interior furniture and finish plans, construction specifications and operational policies. 1 year of technical experience with one or more of the following design and building topics: common construction methods, materials specification, fenestration, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, landscape design and management, master planning, land use, zoning, urban development. 1 year of experience with understanding common environmental building codes and standards relevant to specialty. Telecommuting is available for this position, but not required.
