The Epsten Group, Inc. seeks Technical Analyst II in Atlanta, GA.
Duties: Perform secondary review of projects, as well as provide mark-ups regarding rulings, grammatical corrections, and most recent guidance. -Responsible for QC comment updates from Team Leaders prior to project submittal. -Manage projects to ensure timely submittal and communicate any delays, MRCs, client guidance requests, or major issues with project submittals to the Team Leader. -Effectively facilitate QC comment responses and customer service inquiries from client and project teams. -Provide training to Primary Reviewers through v4 Training slides, QA comments and Junior Reviewer Performance Assessments -Participate in Senior Reviewer Roundtables -Provide peer evaluations in the form of Senior Reviewer Performance Assessments -Provide stock language updates to the client based on assigned section of the rating system -Update in-house guidance: LEED Interpretations and unique ID strategies -Update in-house stock language: pre-certification reviews, Schools, and Core and Shell -Participate in GBCI Classic and Energy/HVAC Reviewer Calls.
Requires a Master degree in Architecture, Construction, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering or related field plus one year of experience or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering or related field plus three years of experience in related occupation. – One year of experience in LEED AP with specialty required (BD+C, ID+C, O+M, ND). – One year of computer skills, including experience with MS Office suite and LEED Online. – One year of experience with a variety of high-performance building projects, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects – One year of specialization in a high-performance building attribute such as energy efficiency, water efficiency, materials efficiency, indoor environmental quality, etc. – One year of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting building floor plans, sections, site plans, zoning maps, interior furniture and finish plans, construction specifications and operational policies – One year of detailed technical understanding of and experience with one or more of the following design and building topics: common construction methods, materials specification, fenestration, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, landscape design and management, master planning, land use, zoning, urban development. – One year of detailed technical understanding of and experience with common environmental building codes and standards relevant to specialty.
