Atlanta University Center, Robert W. Woodruff Library

RW 1
Project Description

Epsten Group provided design and consulting services for numerous projects at the Robert W. Woodruff Library. These included, but were not limited to, a full review for upgrades and repairs of the entire facility including structural systems and improvements to electrical conditions. A total redesign of two of the three levels of the library was completed which our team performed commissioning.

Additionally, commissioning was conducted for all new and existing systems associated with this renovation as well as the complete upgrade of three archive spaces totaling more than 5,000 SF. Our team developed the RFP for the construction manager solicitation that brings these spaces up to more stringent and long-term archived conditions consistent with Special Collections as defined by the National Archives and Records Administration. Facility condition audits have been performed for the client annually since 2010.
